Green Ninja: Footprint Renovation
November 21, 2011

Good afternoon! On Friday we announced our selections for the 2011 “S Factor” workshop at the AGU Fall Meeting. If you haven’t had an opportunity to view the fabulous announcement video, check it out on my previous post!
As we countdown the days to the workshop, I’ll be highlighting the individual videos on the blog. Do yourself a favor and watch the videos once or twice before heading to the workshop. Keeping the material fresh will allow you to better concentrate on the feedback Hollywood filmmakers Randy Olson, Sean Hood, and Jason Ensler will be providing to the audience. First up on our breakdown: GREEN NINJA: FOOTPRINT RENOVATION!
As a man is sleeping one night, his feet grow, becoming enormous, because of his home’s carbon footprint. The Green Ninja is called in to help. The Green Ninja is a climate-action superhero who fights global warming by inspiring informed personal action. The Green Ninja project is a collaborative effort between scientists, educators, and artists to create compelling experiences that illustrate the connections between humans and our changing climate. The goal is to inspire personal action to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions.
The project is based at San Jose State University (SJSU) and includes faculty from the College of Science, College of Humanities and the Arts, and Spartan Film Studios. The Green Ninja concept was created by Babak Sarrafan, professor of film at SJSU.
Hope you enjoyed the video as much as I did! Good Luck & Keep Filming!

Awesome! I’m going to share this with my teacher-classmates in MSU MSSE program (masters of science education). Shall I just credit San Jose State University (SJSU)?
